BC Ferries is seeking input from the public before sailing ahead with some proposed service schedule changes that would affect the Sunshine Coast and Bowen Island.

“It is very important to us that we engage with the community and hear their feedback on these changes,” stated BC Ferries’ president and CEO Mark Collins, in a news release. “We know the Horseshoe Bay-Langdale and Horseshoe Bay-Snug Cove routes have been particularly challenged by sailing delays and these delays are having an impact on the quality of life and business for Sunshine Coast and Bowen Island residents.”

The engagement program will involve a range of activities, including focus group sessions, an online survey, a BC Ferries presence at community events, and in-person surveys conducted at the Langdale and Horseshoe Bay ferry terminals.

The online survey can be found by visiting bcferries.com/about/ontime-sc.

The public engagement period is expected to last until early July.
