THE first torrential rains of fall created several mini lakes on North Shore roads over the weekend, including this one at Pemberton Avenue and First Street in North Vancouver on Saturday. Sunday's storm felled a tree that took out three transformers at Keith Road and Taylor Way in West Vancouver, paralyzing traffic and leaving residents without power for up to 18 hours.
