The host No. 1-ranked Sentinel Spartans knocked off the No. 2 Handsworth Royals 69-65 Monday night to earn a trip to the championship final of the Howe Sound senior boys AAA basketball tournament.

The Royals will now face Sutherland Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Sentinel to see who will join the Spartans in the championship final of the double-knockout tournament. The championship will be determined Wednesday night and, if necessary, Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Sentinel.
