A tanker truck carrying diesel fuel overturned on Westhill Drive in West Vancouver Monday afternoon, forcing authorities to close the road between Chippendale Road and Camridge Road.

Police are asking residents avoid the area while crews clean up the spilt fuel and investigators deal with accident scene.

Members of West Vancouver Fire and Rescue and District of West Vancouver staff are also on site.
