Free events celebrating the arts took place across Canada over the weekend of September 28th, 29th and 30th and the North Shore's rich artistic talent was showcased during these Culture Days.

Painters, dancers, singers and musicians were all featured and the North Shore News caught up with a couple of events. A Performance Challenge at Kay Meek Theatre saw a talent battle for a coveted spot of opening act for the Big River Johnny Cash Tribute concert.

Lions Gate Sinfonia conductor Clyde Mitchell led an informal orchestra at Centennial Theatre that brought together professional and non-professional musicians.
