Conservative byelection candidate Christine Clarke is criticizing NDP support for the Murray-Clarke Connector.
On Monday, NDP candidate Joe Trasolini demanded that the province take steps to fund the $70-million project.
"Once again, Adrian Dix and his local candidate Joe Trasolini are showing their true colours - advocating costly big public works projects, which will result in higher taxes for people in Port Moody-Coquitlam," Clarke said in a press release. "Just like the fast ferries, this project defies sound economic thinking, particularly when the positive effects of the Evergreen Line have yet to be determined."
