Donors, board members, artist-patrons and other community supporters were given a private viewing of the new Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art Sept. 26.

Following more than two decades of program development and fundraising, and a decade of planning, the much-anticipated space is finally ready to open to the public. Located at 2121 Lonsdale Ave., in North Vancouver, the stunning gallery will be home to the acclaimed Artists for Kids collection of Canadian art and will open Oct. 13.
