For 15 years the North Shore Credit Union has supported North Shore Rescue through an annual Charity Golf Tournament and the 2012 edition was held June 15 at North Vancouver's Seymour Golf and Country Club.

Over the years, the tournament and dinner have raised more than $500,000 for the volunteer organization. This year's event raised $30,000, which will help the team build a repeater station atop Cypress Mountain to service the Cypress and Howe Sound areas.

As well, the donation will help subsidize the refurbishment of a rescue truck.
