The official launch of the book My Mother's Story: North Vancouver took place at Presentation House Theatre Dec. 6 with mothers, daughters and friends gathering to enjoy some of the latest extraordinary stories of ordinary women on the North Shore.
This is the second book published by the Mothership Stories Society, a non-profit project founded in 2008 focused on encouraging the writing, collection and performance of family stories.
The society's first book, My Mother's Story: the originals, was a collection of 39 stories from local actresses. The follow up features 41 new stories from local women, source material for the latest play of the same name.
