The Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art, housing the Artist for Kids Teaching Collection, was officially opened Oct. 13. Gallery namesake, artist Gordon Smith, was in attendance and welcomed artist Robert Davidson whose original print, There is Light and Darkness, was released.

The new gallery, located at 2121 Lonsdale Ave., in North Vancouver, is open Wednesday through Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is by donation.
