The Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art 2012 Inaugural Gala took place at the newly opened gallery at 2121 Lonsdale Ave. in North Vancouver Nov. 21.

The evening started off with a champagne reception and guests toured the gallery and its impressive display of contemporary Canadian artwork. A sumptuous dinner prepared by well-known chef David Hawksworth was followed by live jazz and the auction of Gordon Smith's painting Byway Pond. Proceeds will support art exhibitions, education and other public programs at the space.
