Members of the North Shore Optimist Club held their 21st annual Youth Appreciation Awards Dinner at Cheers Restaurant in North Vancouver Jan. 22. The club reached out to groups they support financially, asking them to make recommendations regarding youths who they felt were deserving of special recognition.

Local teens were honoured for their athleticism, volunteerism, perseverance and accomplishments.
