Ross Road elementary encouraged students to ride, walk or scooter to class during Bike to School Week Oct. 1-5. Professional trials bike rider Ryan Leech kicked off the week’s activities with words of inspiration and a skills demonstration, Lynn Valley Bikes presented a tire-changing workshop for seventh-graders and Escape Adventures ran a road safety course for all grades. Daily prize draws and a pizza lunch for the class with the highest participation added incentive for students to ride, scooter or walk to school.
