If you are planning a ghostly gathering this Halloween you may want to whip up a few ghoulish treats.

Here are a few ideas for very easy, time-saving treats that your guests will love. They will only take minutes to assemble and you may want to make a whole ghostly gob of them!

Ghost Pretzels

These are adorable when displayed on a black platter. Or try arranging them on a piece of black fabric as a background. Simply purchase white yogurt-covered pretzels at your grocery store in the bulk section.

Pick up some candy eyes in the baking section of Michaels. Use a miniature tube of icing to glue the eyes to the pretzels. Let them dry and display them on a platter.

Mummy Brownies

I saw this idea at a party last year and thought it was great. A simple pan of brownies is cut into small pieces and tube icing is applied back and forth to emulate the mummy’s wraps. Use the icing to apply two candy eyes at the top of the brownie.

Ghost Strawberries

A little more on the healthy side, these strawberry treats are very cute and tasty too. Purchase some strawberries and clean them thoroughly. Let them dry. Melt white chocolate in a small pot and then carefully dip each strawberry into the white chocolate and leave small drip at the end of each strawberry. Let them dry. Attach three miniature chocolate chips as the eyes and mouth.

Lollipop Ghosts

If you are really in a time pinch, this is cute idea for the kids to do. Purchase a bag of the round lollipops and a box of large white tissues. You will also require some thin black and orange ribbon and a black marker.

Wrap each lollipop with the white tissue and tie them with the ribbons.

Use your black marker to make two eyes at the top of the lollipop.

Witches Hats

I used to make these all the time for the kids when they were young. They are probably the easiest Halloween treat to make and always a hit. Simple round chocolate cookies are used as the base of the hat. Make a small batch of white icing and place a little in the centre of the cookie and place a chocolate Hershey’s kiss on top. You can add a little food colouring to the icing if you wish to add a pop of colour to the witch hat.
