IT'S a new year, so why not try out a new look?
One of the easiest ways to transform your look is by using a bold shade of lipstick - something that can be found in Maybelline New York's new collection Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor.
According to Maybelline, the line offers "brighter, bolder, true-to-the-tube shades," like shocking coral and electric orange.
A special, "true colour particle" was designed to keep hues super saturated while honey nectar hydrates lips and reduces the appearance of fine lines.
I tested out pink pop on a recent night out and was pleased with the dramatic, Nicki Minaj-esque effect. It was daring but still very girly. The colour did a good job of staying put, and I only found myself reapplying once during the evening.
For daytime looks, I'd recommend Vivid Rose and Fuchsia Flash. To mix it up even more, try using one shade all over the lips and dabbing another just in the centre.
New York Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor hit drugstores Canada-wide this month, with each lipstick retailing for $9.99.
