Representatives of the West Vancouver Museum hosted an opening reception for their latest exhibition, At The Intersection of Art and Medicine, Jan. 24. The collection of anatomical art, curated by Nina Czegledy, features detailed works by Canadian women illustrators in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
A number of the pieces were originally commissioned by J.C.B. Grant to illustrate Grant's Atlas of Anatomy, published in 1943. The travelling exhibition, which includes artwork from the collection of Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto, will remain on display until March 10.
