Target is coming to Delta

 

 
 
 

Target, the giant American retailer taking over many Zellers locations, is taking applications for its future outlet in North Delta.

The corporation has confirmed it will open a location at Scottsdale Centre. It is one of 125 or so locations confirmed for Target's Canadian debut, slated to begin opening next year.

People can visit target.ca/careers if they are interested in applying for a job.

VAN HEUSEN OPENS THURSDAY

Van Heusen is coming to The Shops at Morgan Crossing.

The store, which will open its doors on Thursday, will be the second Van Heusen retail location to open in Canada.

A grand opening celebration will be held at the South Surrey store Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

Proceeds from that evening's sales will go to Surrey libraries.

KIN'S HELPS FIGHT CANCER

Kin's Farm Market has donated $3,567 to the Canadian Cancer Society, raised through its second annual calendar campaign.

"Canadian Cancer Society believes that eating well is a key part of cancer prevention," said Kenneth Lai, VP corporated development at Kin's. "The healthy lifestyle that Canadian Cancer Society advocates is something Kin's Farm Market strongly agrees with."

STANTEC'S DIVERSITY HONOURED

Stantec has been named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers.

"To be named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers is a tremendous honour," said Tino DiManno, Stantec's senior vice president for Canada West.
