The campaign, which involves the sale of friendship bracelets ($2), shoelace lapel pins ($3), tote bags ($5), key chains ($6) and teddy bears ($10), available at branches, sees proceeds similarly go to the foundation in support of breast cancer research, education and awareness programs. According to a written statement, last year, through the generosity of CIBC clients, employees and the general public, more than $1.9 million was raised through fundraising events and contributions from the collection.

The foundation continues to be inspired by CIBC's ongoing commitment to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, says Deborah Dubenofsky, the foundation's national board chairwoman, in the statement. The 2012 edition is set for Sept. 30 in Vancouver. The funds raised by the CIBC Pink Collection, in addition to Team CIBC fundraising and volunteer support, is a testament to the tremendous dedication of CIBC's staff and clients towards their vision of creating a future without breast cancer, says Dubenofsky.

The 2012 CIBC Pink Collection was launched at branches across Canada on CIBC's National Client Appreciation Day Thursday. Info: www.cibc.com/cibcpinkcollection or any CIBC branch.
