Monday was media day as well as the first day of the main draw at the Odlum Brown VanOpen at West Vancouver's Hollyburn Country Club.

North Vancouver's Filip Peliwo, recently crowned Wimbledon junior boys singles champion, was on hand to meet the Vancouver media and show off his new hardware. The 18-year-old will take on Jimmy Wang of Taiwan in his first ever VanOpen match tonight on centre court starting at 6:30 p.m.
