Representatives of the Seymour Art Gallery hosted an opening reception and awards presentation for Water, their annual juried DisCOVEry exhibition for new and emerging artists Tuesday.

The jury, comprised of North Shore artist Ross Penhall, curator and art consultant Alison Keller and Seymour curator Sarah Cavanaugh, selected 20 artists to exhibit and their pieces reflect the show’s water theme. Shannon Leonard was presented with the Carole Badgley Emerging Artist Award, a cash prize of $300, and honourable mentions were bestowed upon Anna Milton and Katherine Nielsen.
