The B.C. Scotties Women’s Curling Championships opened ceremoniously at North Shore Winter Club Monday. The Tournament of Hearts is a week-long event showcasing some of the top curling teams in B.C. The winners will head to the national championship in Red Deer, Alta., Feb. 18-26. Playoffs begin tonight, Friday, Jan 27, and continue tomorrow morning.

The semi-final is set for Saturday evening and the final is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Sunday followed by the closing ceremonies.
