Otis Spann wrote ''Hotel Lorraine'' and ''Blues For Martin Luther King'' on April 5, 1968 and performed them in a storefront church in Chicago the day after Martin Luther King's assassination. Those two tracks are included here, plus ''Tribute To Martin Luther King," all featuring Muddy Waters and His Blues Band backing up Spann. The latter song was released later that year as the A side of a single on the Cry label with Mississippi Big Joe Williams' "The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King" on the B side.
