Dolores
Filmmaker Peter Bratt’s new documentary Dolores (subtitled: Rebel, Activist, Feminist, Mother), screens at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, SFU Woodward’s on Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. (free for SFU students). Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America in the 1960s with César Chávez, continues to fight for peoples’ rights today at the age of 87. The documentary also screened earlier this week as part of the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival running through Sept. 3. For more information on the fest visit vlaff.org.
