West Vancouver’s Nardwuar the Human Serviette is trending this week because of an interview he did with Cardi B at Coachella on the weekend. In March of 2012 Nardwuar was in Austin, Texas at SXSW where he got to talk to a young rapper making a name for himself, Kendrick Lamar. Lamar was at the festival with the Black Hippy Collective (which also featured Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q), had just signed to Interscope and was getting ready to release his major label debut, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. This week Lamar was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his album DAMN, the first non-classical or jazz artist to receive the honour since the music category was added in 1943.
