Park Royal unveils smartphone app

WITH 1.2 million square feet of retail, it's hard to know exactly what is at Park Royal.

Things are always changing (did you know the new Gymboree is open?), and sometimes it's hard for shoppers to keep up.

All that is about to change now that the mall has released a new app for smartphones. The app, called Shop Park Royal, is compatible with iPhones, Blackberries, and Androids.

Shop Park Royal features an events section, information on where to find products and deals, hours of operation, a map of Park Royal, as well as other features.

If you had the app, for example, you might already have known about the shopping night for teens on Aug. 27, which featured live dance performances, free limo rides, free food, and a flash mob.

It's not too late to stay ahead. Downloading the app now means that smartphone users will be right in step with the opening of Freedman Shoes in November, and H&M in late October. Guess and Jacob expansions will also be covered.

For iPhones the app is available on iTunes, while Blackberry and Android users can download it at www.shopparkroyal.com.
