FIONA Apple will launch a summer headline tour in Ithaca, New York, on June 19, the same day she releases her first album in seven years.

Like Apple's 1999 record, When the Pawn-, the new album's title is a poem: The idler wheel is wiser than the driver of the screw and whipping cords will serve you more than ropes will ever do.

"Every Single Night," the first single, will be available beginning Tuesday, April 24, on the iTunes Store, where the Epic Records album can also be pre-ordered.

Apple will perform at the Orpheum in Vancouver on July 24 as part of her tour.
