Library hosts historical fashion show

North Vancouver District Public Library is celebrating 50 years of library service in North Vancouver with a historical fashion show and afternoon tea on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd.

Fashion historian Ivan Sayers will be hosting and curating a showcase of fashion from the 1950s and 1960s to help celebrate the North Vancouver District Public Library's 50th birthday.

North Vancouver District Public Library is celebrating 50 years of library service in North Vancouver with a historical fashion show and afternoon tea on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver.

Tickets are $30, available at any NVDPL branch or online at 50thfashion.eventbrite.ca.

The show will be hosted and curated by fashion historian Ivan Sayers and will feature fashion from the 1950s and 1960s. Dave Obee, historian and editor-in-chief at the Victoria Times Colonist, will highlight elements of North Vancouver history to accompany the fashion show.
