Friend of the North Vancouver District Public Library Barb Downman and librarian Collette O'Connor invite readers to the last Friends of the Library Big Book Sale of the year at Lynn Valley Main Library Oct. 20-22. A selection of books, DVDs, CDs and other materials will be on sale. Hours: Friday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 21, noon-4 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 22, 12:30 p.m.-4 p.m.
Most items are less than $2 and all children's books are just 50 cents. On Sunday, everything at the sale is half price and you can fill a bag with books for $3, or a box for $6. Bring your own bag or purchase one for an additional $3. Cash only event.
All proceeds go toward enhancing the library.
