Justice for Janitors

Capilano University students Shaunti Bains and Leticia Fox, alongside compass cafeteria worker Neyla Hemraj, hold signs asking for improved wages and better industry standards as part of a Justice for Janitors campaign event that took place at CapU and four other post-secondary institutions around B.C, including Langara College, BCIT, Vancouver Community College, and UBC-Okanagan, on April 4.

A working group delegation representing the five campuses is calling for a fair tendering process, a living wage on campus for all workers, and respect for workers’ right to freely choose a trade union.
