Silver Harbour Centre might be the place to kickoff you weekend market shopping, as the centre gets ready to host its spring sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 144 East 22nd St. in North Vancouver. Shop for handmade arts and crafts, including woodworking, silk scarves, knitting, baking, pottery, preserves, stained glass, quilting, and more.

Now’s your chance to run away with the circus, or at the very least sit and enjoy the spectacle. On Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m., Vancouver Circus School will be hosting an academy showcase at 1525 Welch St. in North Vancouver and will be performing a selection of circus-style acts, such as trampoline and aerial arts. Admission is by donation and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There’s plenty going on for those looking to pair gardening with art this weekend, as this year’s Art in the Garden 2018 event will feature 14 garden tours that will include a unique fusion of local visual artists and musicians in natural spaces this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. each day. The garden tour is taking place at various locations around the North Shore. $2 per garden or experience all 14 gardens for $20. Apologies if your canine friend doesn’t happen to be a westie, but West Highland white terrier owners are invited to attend the 23rd annual Westie Walk at Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver this Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
