Pandora’s Vox and Espiritu Vocal Ensemble are paying homage to the music of the movies with a performance, called Get Reel!, April 13 from 8 to 10:15 p.m. and April 14 from 2 to 4:14 p.m. at West Vancouver United Church featuring an array of great songs from classic films. Tickets: $15-$30.

Where oh where will the skateboarders go? That’s what the City of North Vancouver is asking in the planning for the upcoming Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre, including a temporary relocation for skaters to use during construction. A design workshop is being held April 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 123 East 23rd St. in North Vancouver for skateboarders to give their input on what a replacement skatepark should look like. The North Vancouver Community Players present Agatha Christie’s Go Back For Murder, opening April 14 at Kay Meek Theatre in West Vancouver at 8 p.m. The play follows Carla Crane, who believes her mother was convicted of murder and sets out to prove her innocence. Artist and photographer Carolina de la Cajiga is exhibiting her work at the City in Flux: Work in Progress exhibition at the Ferry Building Gallery in West Vancouver. Her work uses photography – and imagination – to showcase well-known buildings moved to new settings, and ultimately reshaped, reduced or enlarged. A meet-the-artist event is being held April 14 from 2 to 3 p.m. and panel discussion exploring the changing landscape of the Lower Mainland and its implications for the future is being held April 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is by-donation. As Mt. Seymour prepares to wrap up its ski season, it’s inviting people to its final big party of the season. The Rockstar Puddle Party will run from noon to 4 p.m. at the Pit Park on Mt. Seymour and will feature a barbecue,beer garden, firepits, smores and a 20-person sauna bus. The event is free to enter with a season pass or a valid lift ticket.
