Children, parents and instructors participated in the Yogathon in West Van. The event was a fundraiser in conjunction with Yoga Aid World Challenge.
The group was instructed to act like animals to loosen up and move.
The free family event was presented by Blooming Kids Yoga and Karma Teachers.
The gym at West Van Community Centre was alive with children and adults exploring movement by mimicking their favorite animal.
Everyone hopped, crawled, ran and slunk around the gym.
Karma yoga teachers dressed in costume for the event.
Six community classes were offered throughout the day with instructors showing the kids what poses were possible.
An emphasis on fun, lightness and movement was the order of the days event.
