Dear Editor:

Thanks to Ms. Nancy Olewiler, TransLink Board Chair for clarifying that plans to scrap the TaxiSaver program have been put on hold (TaxiSaver Not Yet Lost, June 20, North Shore News). It would be so inconsiderate - cruel even - for TransLink to deprive disabled and sickly seniors of the option to travel directly to their doctors and make other urgent appointments. The authorities should bear in mind that they too will grow old, and perhaps - though I hope not - disabled and sickly.
