Volunteer musicians are needed to play for a Taize worship on the second Sunday of the month (flute, violin, oboe, clarinet, etc.). Individuals need to be available for practice and worship from 2:30 to 5 p.m. once a month. Call St. Andrew's United Church, 985-0408 or email minister@st-andrews-united.ca.

The Pacific Great Eastern Railway Station is open for the summer, Wednesdays to Sundays, 1-5 p.m. at the foot of Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver. View a collection of photographs, rare historical artifacts and garments. The Shipyard Gals will tell tales of maritime lore on free daily walking tours. The Mosquito Creek Boat Show and Squamish Nation Days will take place Sept. 9 and 10, noon-6 p.m., Sept. 11, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at 415 West Esplanade, North Vancouver. The boat show will feature more than 200 boats on display, dozens of marine vendors and information booths. There will also be activities for kids. Festivities for the Squamish Nation Days include daily opening ceremonies with drummers and dancers, canoe races and a food court. Admission: $12.
