Janine Vertone, of Ukama Arts, hosted a Zimbabwe fundraiser Sept. 9 at her home in West Vancouver. Rock 'n Art was a community art exhibition and silent auction featuring hundreds of sculptures, paintings, quilts and handwoven baskets by various local and African artists.

The event raised funds for a Tengenenge primary school in Zimbabwe and a Zambian women's collective.
