A reception was held at the Silk Purse Arts Centre Tuesday evening to mark the launch of Reflections Vancouver 2013, an annual initiative by students in the final year of Capilano University's Design and Illustration (IDEA) program. Reflections sees the creation of original paintings of Vancouver landscapes by students.

This year's crop of works are currently on display at the West Vancouver gallery and are up for silent auction.

The paintings, which will be exhibited until Sunday, are also available in calendar, greeting card, magnet or button form. At the opening night reception, the artists were in attendance and mingled with art lovers and community supporters.
