Lions Gate Hospital Foundation's 16th annual Golf Classic, presented by Locher Evers International, was held June 18 at West Vancouver's Capilano Golf and Country Club. Approximately 150 players participated at the event, which raised $395,000 (net) in support of the foundation's $3 million campaign to relocate, renovate, and equip a new endoscopy unit at Lions Gate Hospital. The new unit will increase patient access to treatment for gastrointestinal diseases and colon cancer screening, as well as improve the quality of care offered by the endoscopy team. In addition to a round of golf, those in attendance enjoyed dinner, and live and silent auctions.
